Good morning everyone! Thank you so much for your comments and guesses on yesterdays post! For those of you that guessed, I lost 1.2 pounds yesterday. Smaller than I’d guessed but I lost 1.4 that I totally didn’t deserve the week before so seems fair. Someone in a Weigh Watchers meeting once said “you always get what you deserve, you just don’t always get them the week you deserve them”.
Here are a few images that made me feel good this week.
Little birds on a wire.
There is just something about flocks of little birds against a sky. This will sound a little weird, but sometimes I think of it as my own personal special visual image. Often times I will be stressed about something and then see a big flock of little birds zoom across the sky and it honestly makes me feel better. I take it as a message to relax and it viscerally makes me feel good.
Blue cookware on the stove.
I had a hilariously urgent text conversation with my friend Devon the other morning about the “importance” of choosing one’s color carefully when purchasing expensive stoneware. I laid this photo out to text her to make my point and ended up really liking it.
Comfortable kitty asleep in a sun patch.
Seriously. Does she look comfy or what. I was sick when I took this and after the photo was taken I went and laid down next to her on the floor in that sun patch for a full hour. It was awesome. I also tried to use it as a chance to get a little sun on my blinding white tummy but all I came away with was heat rash. Sigh.
Sliders.
I made these last week and never got around to posting them. Perfect mini cheese burgers on soft grilled potato rolls. This dinner was seventeen points (2 each for the rolls, 6 for the meat, 3 for the cheese and 3 for the sweet potato fries) but so SO good.
The view off our little deck.
You are probably sick of hearing me talk about being head over heels for this house, so I’ll keep it brief. I love the view off the front of our house so much. It’s been too cold to really enjoy this little spot but, boy howdy, when it warms up- coffee central. Mom and dad, we TRIED to keep the plant alive!
Happy Friday everyone!
I love the view from your deck also. It is where I would want to be anythime the weather permits. See you Sunday!
Love, Mike
Yay! To cups of coffee and glasses of wine out there for years to come:)
SO glad we had that text convo. Seriously. You really gave me some Le Creuset perspective in a moment of need, so thanks Megsy! One day I too will have my own Marseille collection…
Hugs,
D.
Hahaha! I admit I was surprised to hear you weren’t dead set on red, even I love red le creuset:)
Way to go, Megan!
Thanks bets:) you too!
